Welcome back, world!

I've been a long time away from the site.  Let's just say life got in the way.  Alas, things are not quite yet where I would like them to be, but they are getting there.  If you asked me two months ago what my outlook was, it would have been an understatement to say that I was worried about the future.  I was absolutely dreading it.  But now, things are finally looking up.

First on my big announcements list: I got a job!  And not just any job, but one working in the industry that I have been most passionate about for a long time - solar energy!  I got employed as a solar designer for an up-and-coming solar company, and it's got all the excitement that working for a startup can offer.  I've already spent a week on the job, and I'm already exhausted beyond belief, but I'm thrilled to be doing exactly what I wanted to start my career doing.

Secondly, I'm getting ready to make a big move!  A new job means a new home, and I've been looking everywhere for the best place to plant myself for the time being.  This part of the decision process is the most exciting for me, because I see this as the defining point in my mission to establish myself in the real world.  My life is going through a major change, and my lifestyle is a large part of my identity.  Shaping who I am and who I want to be in the future is as terrifying as it is exciting, but I have no doubt I'll make all the right decisions that align with my true self.

Coming up, you'll be seeing a lot more of me on this website.  As I shed my student persona and put on my big-person hat, I'm going to be filling my life with more of what I love, so stay tuned!
